Malta Film Fund Information Sessions with Guest Speaker and Film Fund Evaluator Thomas Craig
In preparation for the call of applications for the Malta Film Fund, the Malta Film Commission will be organising an information session at Malta Enterprise, G’Mangia regarding the fund application process on Thursday, 12th March at 5pm, with guest speaker and Film Fund Evaluator Mr. Thomas Craig. In addition a series of one to one guidance sessions to potential applicants will take place on Wednesday, 11th March and Thursday, 12th March between 10am and 2pm with an additional session taking place from 3pm to 7pm on Wednesday 11th March at the Malta Film Commission. These sessions will consist of one hour slots where potential applicants can discuss their ideas, projects and application strategy. Thomas Craig’s Profile: After graduating with a Masters in Film Studies, Tom Craig commenced his professional career in 1997 when he began teaching Film, Media and Cultural Studies at Nottingham Trent University. Since then he has taught at a number of high profile institutions and has given guest lectures around the world. He is currently the Programme Leader for BA (Hons) Film Production, BA (Hons) Visual Effects & Postproduction, and BA (Hons) Production Design at the University of Derby. In addition to teaching at Undergraduate, Masters and PhD Level, Tom has substantial management experience and has been involved in the writing and successful validation of a number of industry-standard film courses. Outside of his academic interests, Tom is an accomplished writer and producer in his own right. He is regularly featured on British television and radio in relation to both his own work and his knowledge of film as a medium.
