Malta International Airport welcomes over four and a half million passengers each year and links three continents with over 90 airports directly to Malta. MIA is one of the best connected airports in its class and contributes to more than 15,000 jobs and over 9% of Malta’s GDP. Since opening in 1992, the air terminal has received continuous investment in infrastructure, equipment, personnel, and services which have contributed to the airport’s accolades including been awarded four stars by Skytrax and the silver medal in the 2015 Airport Council International’s Best European Airport award.
